Early snowflow 3ds max, After Effects, Photoshop, ZBrush January 2012
Hi all!
The main goal for this piece was to catch the mood and practicing the tools. I`ve used 3 ds max 2011, VRay 2, ZBrush 3, After Effects and Photoshop here. Textures was painted in Photoshop. Diplacement map was baked via ZBrush. Firsly I wanted it to be 2K resolution but VRay shuted down for 3 or 4 times as I hit render button. I`ve finished with render when the resolution was decreased down to 1000x1000 pixels. The passes such as RGB color, reflection, specular, diffuse, material and object IDs, z depth were rendered to VRays frame buffer and saved separately as 16 bit tiff files and lastly combined together in After Effects. In After Effects I`ve added snow particles texture with directional blur, glow effect and color corrected.
Mainly I was inspired by town landscape view that I viewed somehowe at the evening time when I arrived back to home.
Hope you`ll enjoy it! Comments are most welcome! But if you have some different opinion on realisation this work, please, feel free to post your criticizm here also.
Thanks.
Izat.
